Chesapeake Bay RV Resort Thousand Trails - Campground

The RV spots are still the same small size they've been for years, even though RVs keep getting bigger. We were assigned a spot with our neighbor's fire pit under our kitchen slide 🙄. When we asked to move, we were told, "Sorry, we're full," even though there were empty spots all around. They let us spend two nights in a vacant spot, but a weekender wanted it, so we had to leave. They also made it sound like the reservation system was just a wish list. Call the campground first, don't just show up.

The campground was very well maintained, with plenty of amenities, scheduled events, and a great BBQ place on site. We had an excellent three-night stay after buying a Thousand Trails cabin pass. Everyone we met, from check-in to maintenance and housekeeping, was friendly and helpful. When we found the AC in our cabin wasn't up to par, Emily in housekeeping helped us move to another one almost immediately. Thanks, Emily! We'll definitely be back before the season ends.

We stayed here in our Class A RV and found the staff extremely friendly and accommodating. It's far enough into the woods to feel like you've gotten away from it all, but close enough to get out and see the area.

We had a great stay here over the 4th of July. The 30 amp breaker gave us trouble, but Tanya came right over to our site and lent us an adapter until the electrician could fix it the next day. Tanya was awesome, and all the other staff were friendly and helpful too. See you all in August!
