Quality Inn Suites Golf Resort

That old country club atmosphere could be a real draw, especially with the nice dining room, and the front desk manager was pleasant. The 70s look is kind of cool, but the rooms seem untouched since then and the place badly needs updating. Breakfast options were terrible. I’m giving it three stars mostly for the manager and the vintage feel.

Inside was a pleasant surprise, since the outside looks a little scary. The front desk staff and housekeeping were both nice, and the room was comfortable and quiet. It’s set on a huge golf course, and though the outdoor bar played loud music, closing the patio door blocked it out. After a night at a roach-filled Super 8 in Ft. Meyers, this made my Florida stay much more enjoyable. We paid a good price for the quality, and I’d definitely stay again.

The bar stood out, with great food prices and mixed drinks that are definitely worth what you pay for them. The pool was clean and nice, and breakfast was standard. I haven’t tried the restaurant, though I’ve heard it’s nice. I can’t speak to the price since my company covers it. The room itself was fine for a regular hotel, but not much of a golf resort: the TV was an old box model, there was no desk for working, and the only table was a wobbly round one with too little room around it. The balcony was nice on the back side, though mine had no furniture.

The golf course looked amazingly beautiful in the morning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But the hallways smelled like a high school boys’ locker room, and the whole place felt dated and smelled that way. That hard-ass king bed nearly broke a rib. Maybe this golf resort is just waiting to be rebuilt into a great place.
