The Silk Pincushion - Easy access to downhill skiing

Dennis and Judy made us feel welcome and were accommodating, including with our dietary restrictions at their delicious homemade breakfast. Sitting and talking with them and the other guests over breakfast felt like a family gathering. The room was cozy, and the Victorian-style decor made it feel like we'd gone back in time. My husband had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, and this was an ideal staycation for us. We'll definitely return!

We spent two nights here and felt well rested, like we'd found another home in Golden. J&D were genuine and fun to chat with, and made a different homemade breakfast each day. Every meal was delicious, balanced, and made with care. The room wasn't big, but it was lovely and thoughtfully laid out, with sturdy antique furniture. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We had a designated parking spot, and the easy, pretty walk downtown took 10 minutes. We loved the family-style breakfasts and hope to visit again!

The location is perfect, just an easy five-minute walk to everything downtown, so there's no need for an Uber. Our room, the Green Room, was adorable, with clean, comfy green carpet, a comfortable bed, a bathtub, and a good-sized closet. The bedrooms are upstairs, so you'll need to carry your luggage up the stairs. The home is lovely inside and out, with colorful flowers and comfy porch furniture, plus vintage things and old family photographs throughout. Breakfast was delicious and different every morning. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and hearing the owners' stories. They're absolute angels, so sweet, and I hope they can keep running the business for years so we can keep coming back. I can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

Judy and Dennis also shared advice about places to visit, and they take real pride in The Silk Pincushion. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was both delicious and informative. My wife is gluten-free, and Judy made meals each morning that I, though not gluten-free, craved too. The blueberry and white chocolate muffin tops and pancakes were outstanding, as were the fresh fruit and omelets. The easy walk to downtown was another plus. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and conversations with Judy and Dennis. They're excellent hosts, and we'll stay here again on our next visit to Golden.
