Redbud Inn

We got in around 10 pm, our first time staying here. The room felt comfortable and had everything we needed, even a full-size ironing board hanging on the wall with an iron. It’s updated, though the furnishings have a retro look, and there’s plenty of parking. The price was very fair. I liked the place and would stay again someday.

There was no stopper in the tub for a bath, and I couldn’t find a way to turn on the shower head.

We only stayed because there wasn’t anything else nearby, but the room was nothing like the picture and was really dirty, as if it hadn’t been dusted in ages. I bought sheets, pillows, and towels at Family Dollar, then spent about $20 on cleaning supplies to clean the mess. I woke up with a rash the next morning after cleaning. Find somewhere else.

The location was great and the maid staff were friendly, but the ownership and management were terrible. We’d booked three rooms months ahead, and they were scattered on separate sides of the property. The rooms looked recently renovated, yet gaps of at least an inch around a couple of the door frames let bugs into all our rooms. We decided not to use the third room when we arrived. We rang the doorbell, got no answer, and still didn’t stay in it. The next morning a man came to the window and said he’d charge us for it anyway, despite all the hassles. I wouldn’t have returned if the other hotels weren’t worse or too far away. The place still has its terrible reputation.
