The breakfast was simple and limited, but it tasted good, and the area was kept clean and well stocked. The staff were incredibly kind, especially the woman looking after breakfast. I picked this place for the pool and spa, though, and neither was available despite still being advertised online, so that brought my rating down. It’s outside downtown Granbury, but it’s a clean, fairly priced option near everything if you just need a room and breakfast.

At 11 pm we were packing up and looking for another hotel after finding a huge roach crawling in the bathroom. It was disgusting, and we checked out right away and asked for a full refund. Having any bugs in a Holiday Inn, or any hotel, is unacceptable. I won’t stay at another Holiday Inn.

Sarah was so nice, be sure to say hello to her! We were greeted with lovely chocolate chip cookies, and there was always fresh coffee in the nice lobby. Our room was spacious and nice too.

The pool was out of commission, and there were rust stains in the shower. Still, the staff were so helpful and the service was top notch. The people working here alone would be enough to make me stay again. Aside from those issues, it was excellent all around.

Our seven night company booking turned into a nightmare. I was first put in a room near a karaoke bar, and the noise kept me awake all night. They agreed to move me, but after that my George Armani T-shirt went missing. When I reported it, they said they couldn’t access the CCTV footage and gave me the runaround. I asked to leave and get a refund, but they refused. Three days later they somehow found the shirt, and then my Louis Vuitton flip-flops ($2000) disappeared. I’d packed my bag two days earlier, and I suspect housekeeping was responsible. The room wasn’t properly cleaned either, just a half-hearted bed making and nothing else. I’ve traveled a lot and never dealt with such dishonesty or poor service. Avoid Holiday Inn Express Granbury unless you want to risk losing your things. One star, and that’s generous.
