WorldMark Granby - Rocky Mountain Preserve

The deck at our cabin was structurally unsafe and at risk of collapsing, leaving us unable to use the balcony hot tub and grill we'd spent thousands of points to book. We were Diamond Elite members, and our family reunion matters a lot to us since we live in different parts of the world. For our 29 June-05 July trip, we used 27,000 annual points to reserve that cabin. My family has belonged to WorldMark since 2008, and this was a deeply disappointing stay. No one told us about the hazard before we arrived. At check-in, staff said nothing unusual. We only saw caution tape around the hot tub after reaching the cabin. Back at the front desk, we were told the hot tub “had issues” but the deck was safe. A few days later, maintenance knocked to tell us the whole deck was unsafe. Communication was nearly nonexistent even after that. Our vacation plans were ruined, and two of my siblings left early with their families because there was no point staying. The compensation story was just as bad. The front desk first offered 9,000 points, which was insulting. Later, the manager said that was a misquote and promised 19,000 points back to our account. After multiple follow-up calls, nothing has been credited. The location now says 9,300 points were approved, but we still have received zero compensation. WorldMark/Wyndham took our points, but when their negligence ruined the stay and put us at risk, they didn't make it right. WorldMark/Wyndham knowingly put my family in a hazardous, unusable cabin, misled us repeatedly about compensation, and showed complete disregard for our safety and experience. It's the same timeshare system built on greed, deception, and no accountability. Never trust WorldMark or Wyndham. Greed and dishonesty are the real “amenities” members can expect.

This is our second stay at WorldMark Granby, and Joni was the best! She was really the only person we saw as we came and went. The facility was clean and easy to get to. A must stay every time!

The staff were nice and apologetic, though they had no control over the situation. The place is pretty far from everything, although it's fairly close to RMNP and a couple of good restaurants in Granby. I wouldn't stay here again. The worst part was paying $50 for three days of WiFi. It's easy to think you can go without it, but the TV is all streaming, so you need the connection to watch anything. Unless you're familiar with Google Chrome, choosing a show on You Tube TV and casting it with Chrome Cast is a lot of trouble. We're seniors and needed the maintenance guy to show us how. My hubs was furious that he couldn't channel surf. It was far too much hassle just to watch a football game. Also, this is an ordinary condo time share property owned by Wyndham.

When our keys didn't work, the front desk told us they did, so we ended up carrying our luggage up three stories twice before getting in with keys we'd used on a previous visit. The stove was broken, and maintenance didn't come until we were about to leave. There's no WiFi unless you pay $50, and the $250 security deposit takes a week to come back. We also had to take out our own trash and recycling and start the dishwasher.
