Hampton Inn & Suites Grand Forks

This is our new go-to when we’re in town. The pool water and the temperature in the pool area were just right, and the place was super clean and quiet even with renovations going on. The staff were amazing. Thank you, Hamptons!

I come to Hampton Inns for the breakfast, especially the make-your-own waffles, and this one let me down. They ran out of waffle mix and wouldn’t refill it, even though breakfast was still open for another 20 minutes before its scheduled 9 AM closing. What a disappointment. I’ve stayed at Hampton Inns in many states, and although the rooms here are great, this North Dakota location is one of the worst for breakfast. I like staying with the chain because of those waffles, but today I was denied. Truth in advertising doesn’t seem to apply here.

I stay here whenever I’m in Grand Forks, ND. The rooms are clean, breakfast is available daily, and the staff are nice and responsive. It’s near Alerus Center and not far from the University of North Dakota, with easy access to all the major roads. There’s also an indoor heated pool and a Peloton bike.

We normally choose the Holiday Inn Express, but tried the Hampton this time and had a much better stay. The staff, food, and rooms were all better, with A++ service. I didn’t encounter a single red flag, so I was surprised to see the negative reviews. We’ll stay here again.
