Ramada by Wyndham Midtown Grand Island

We come to this Ramada every year for our state dance competition, and booking room blocks for the team and parents is easy thanks to Jackie, our contact. Her prep makes check-in a breeze. Everyone at the front desk is friendly and gives great service, including Carrie. Thanks to the professional hotel staff for making it a fun weekend!

We got a ground-floor room with a sliding glass door, which made it easy to move our luggage in and out. They also let us check in at 4 a.m. without any trouble, so we could get some sleep before continuing our trip. Breakfast looked beautiful, though it was a little bland and some of the hot items were cold. The pool looks epic, and they seem to have mini golf, too.

The biggest downside for me was the pillows, so bring your own. The rooms are dated, but they're clean and don't have a musty smell. Every first-floor room has a balcony and sliding doors to the parking space, which is pretty neat, though privacy could be a concern. Jackie at the front desk was super nice. For $100 a night, it feels like a resort and beats most places I've stayed, even as a platinum member at IHG and Marriott. The amenities are incredible: a huge pool, hot tub, put put, pool table, and hangout atrium. In a city, I could see this going for $300-$500 a night. I'd happily stay here again.

The family had plenty to do here, with free activities like a five-hole putt-putt course, corn hole, ping pong, and a pool table. We also liked hanging out in the lounge, and the bar and grill had great food. The pool was nice and warm, the hot tub was great, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Staff were friendly, too. We had a great stay!
