AmericInn is less than 10 minutes from Grand Rapids Airport (GRR), with plenty of parking and a very friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend it. The hotel felt luxurious to me. There's an indoor pool and a full-size gym with state-of-the-art equipment. Breakfast is included each morning, with eggs, waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee, milk, tea, and hot chocolate. Complimentary coffee and one of the many teas are also available around the clock. My girlfriend loved the tea, and I enjoyed the coffee. Enjoy your stay, Adam Carrillo

I was in town for my uncle's funeral, and this stay was upsetting and disappointing. The property felt dated and unclean, and the hair dryer in the room didn't work. At about 3:30 AM, a loud domestic dispute in a neighboring room woke me. I called the front desk, and soon after the sheriff knocked on their door. I got little to no sleep before the funeral. I understand the hotel wasn't responsible for the incident itself, but I received no apology afterward, despite being visibly shaken. I also have multiple sources who saw another guest, who slept through the disturbance, get offered a credit. I struggle with PTSD, and I was left shaking and distressed. When I later called the hotel, staff denied and misrepresented what happened instead of showing empathy or taking responsibility. I can't recommend it given the cleanliness, broken amenity, lack of compassion, and dishonest follow-up. Spend a little more elsewhere for a better, safer, more respectful experience. In response to the hotel's reply: it doesn't accurately describe what happened. I didn't raise more concerns at checkout because the manager on duty was on her cell phone and wouldn't give me the time of day. There was no real chance to talk. The main issue wasn't whether the disturbance had been handled. It was the lack of acknowledgment, empathy, or follow-up afterward. I was woken at 3:30 AM by a dispute serious enough to bring in the sheriff, on the night before my uncle's funeral. I got no apology, explanation, or gesture of goodwill, while another guest was offered a credit for the same incident. It's misleading to say there were no concerns just because I didn't voice them at checkout when staff were disengaged. This response keeps minimizing and deflecting instead of addressing the issues I raised.

The staff are kind, courteous, and welcoming, and breakfast each morning has great options. Rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable, and there's an onsite washer and dryer. A shuttle van runs to and from Gerald R. Ford International Airport. There are lunch and dinner options all around, including local favorite Brann's Steakhouse attached to the hotel. The property is large, with a workout studio, basketball court, outdoor gazebo, big indoor pool, hot tub, and dining area. I liked the patriotic theme. It's a Wyndham Brand hotel that used to be a Best Western, so online directions may show the old name. Become a guest at AmericInn by Wyndham and you'll enjoy the same things.

I wasn't expecting the room to feel so luxurious, even though this isn't a luxury hotel. The free breakfast was good too. I'd recommend this place and definitely book it again next time. 👏👏👏
