Motel 6 Grand Rivers, KY

The front desk gentleman was a big help, and the area felt peaceful and safe while I was there. I stayed on a business trip and found the room clean, better than I expected, and well worth the price. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you’re traveling on a budget.

For the money, this is a good value as long as you know it isn’t a five-star hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean with comfortable beds. The area seemed quiet, so we got a good night’s sleep. Our pets seemed to enjoy the stay too.

I’d stay again if I were just passing through and Pattis had no rooms. The room was sort of clean, but there was a used soap bar in the shower, which made me wonder what else had been missed. You get one little bar of soap, and there’s no coffee maker, hair dryer, or shampoo. I ordered pizza at the desk for $12. The big box made me think it’d be a big pizza, but it was a smaller, off-brand DiGornios. The first person didn’t make it, so I waited and called down. Someone else came by, but I had to explain the problem very slowly because his English was extremely limited. He brought it over once it was ready, though it had been cooked too hot and fast, with a burnt top and cold crust. Typical Apu hotel.

The owner/manager’s response made an already upsetting stay even worse. We showed him photos and videos of the filthy, unsanitary room, but he wouldn’t believe us and was hostile and dismissive, harassing us instead of offering a solution. My family and I had found the room far below even basic cleanliness standards as soon as we entered, and documented it right away. For a known brand like Motel 6, this was deeply disappointing. The poor room condition and aggressive, unprofessional service made the stay unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. I’d urge others to think carefully before booking this Grand River, Kentucky location.
