Hampton Inn & Suites Mishawaka/South Bend at Herit

After a few years away, we came back for three nights and were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well managed everything was. More than anything, the staff made us feel welcome. We visit the area often, so this is where we'll stay on future trips. Kudos!

Stayed: January 1-5, 2026 Everything went smoothly, with no problems or surprises, which is what I want from a hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were nice the whole time. Just an average stay. My star scale: 1: Bad, don't go there 2: Could be better 3: Average 4: Above average, but not the best 5: A true top notch place

We were there for three days while our roof was being replaced, and the friendly staff made the stay pleasant. The room was very clean, and we enjoyed both the pool and the outdoor fire pit. There was also a lobby sign listing local places to eat and things to do, which is helpful if you're from out of town. The free breakfast was top notch, as always.

I used to work as a housekeeper, so I know how much effort goes into keeping rooms clean. I try to leave ours in decent shape: trash bagged for easy disposal, used towels and washcloths set by the sink, and messes picked up. I even cleaned the high chair before breakfast and tidied up after my kids in the dining area. I had told them they were a wonderful place, but after staff lied to the company that booked my hotel, I can't see them that way anymore. I would have rated the stay better otherwise. I'll look for somewhere else next time I need a hotel.
