Luke was friendly and gave us good information about the area. The cottage felt homey, and the place is very close to downtown. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Grass Valley.

Parking was a little tight for my F-150, but I managed. Sierra Mountain Inn was easily my best night's sleep on a trip from Oregon to Yosemite in September 2025. It was quiet all night, meticulously clean, and had a real sense of quality. Of the five or six inns and lodges I stayed at during the trip, this was the only one where I left a housekeeping tip. Five stars, a great place to stay.

It's a small, cute motel with what you need: a clean room and bathroom, a comfortable bed, and a dedicated parking space. There's also seating outside under the trees. The front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful, and the location makes for an easy, pretty walk into downtown Grass Valley. Looking forward to staying again.

We had a quiet, relaxing one-night stay and would gladly come back. The room was neat and clean, with a good-sized fridge and freezer, plus a microwave and coffee machine. The shower was clean and fairly large, and the bed was very comfy. There's a nice outdoor seating area too. It's about a 10 minute walk downhill into town. I recommend it.
