We left before our stay was over because the place was that bad. The beds were awful, and shouting and slamming doors from nearby rooms kept us from getting much sleep. The rooms were dirty, with broken microwaves and lights that had burnt-out bulbs. Getting help from the main office was nearly impossible, and even then we got very little assistance. That was on top of moldy showers, dirty sheets, and torn towels. I’d have been more comfortable on a hospital stretcher in the middle of the ER. Literally the worst place I’ve stayed.

The room was spotless and the staff were really kind. I was there on a busy night and knew the high demand meant we’d pay extra. There’s another high-end chain hotel in town, but it cost way more than the motel, so I figured this was worth a try. The backyard pool was a relaxing bonus.

The bed was amazing, and the room was super cute. We had a little deck off a walkway, and parking was very close. The room was clean for the most part, and the beds felt new and great. It’s definitely a bit dated, but location-wise it wasn’t too bad, around four or five miles off the highway. I only dealt with the gentleman who I think was going to the place.

My son’s ski race at Catamount was cancelled, but they wouldn’t cancel or reschedule our booking. They ignored my explanation and said the mountain was open, not closed. The customer service was rude and highly unprofessional. I’ve sent two emails with proof, screenshots of the ski club message and the ski race administration email, and also texted the number. There’s been no response or acknowledgement. Do not do business with these guys.

I reserved a queen suite well ahead of time, but on the day we were supposed to arrive, I found out it wasn’t available. No one had contacted me to say so. This wasn’t about needing a first-floor room or a shower or tub. I paid for a suite, and at the last minute they wanted to put me, my elderly mom, and teenage son in a double queen. That wouldn’t work for us. I always book a suite with a pull-out couch and a separate bedroom, so my son can game late and have some peace, and he doesn’t have to complain about my snoring. I only called that day because I had a question about whether to bring a shower seat for my elderly mother. We were packed and about to leave Maryland for the five-hour drive. The hotel wouldn’t offer anything comparable, so I had to cancel. They did refund me, but I still had to find somewhere else to vacation. It took an hour of searching, and the place I found was in Vermont. We left late and then had another hour of driving. If they’d called as soon as they knew the room wasn’t available, it would at least have saved a lot of stress. If they’d offered a comparable room, the whole problem could have been resolved. I doubt we’ll consider this hotel again. In response to the hotel’s reply, I do have a good memory. Awful situations stick with you, and their explanation doesn’t make sense. I had reserved a specific room well in advance, and it wasn’t there for us on arrival day. If they’d offered two rooms instead of leaving us without a place to stay, I’d have written a glowing review.
