Great Bend Travelodge

I was just out of a hysterectomy, and they were able to put me on a lower floor. The room was clean overall and cheap for a one-night stay. The only concern was what looked like black mold in the bathroom, but I didn't complain.

The room was spacious and clean, and though it wasn't fancy, the beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a higher toilet. The water never got very warm, and there was no tub plug. The fridge's little freezer needed defrosting badly, almost completely frosted over and looking really dirty. A pickup parked across two spaces and left us no room to get out of our vehicle, though that wasn't the motel's fault. Breakfast was a joke, with bananas that were too ripe and only a couple of mini muffins left.

Everything in the room looked brand new, including the carpet, refrigerator, and microwave. I felt safe and comfortable, and the location was great with all kinds of food nearby. Breakfast wasn't anything to wake up for, but that's true of most hotels unless you go somewhere really expensive. I do recommend this place.

It's right on the strip near lots of places to eat, and Walmart is about four blocks away. The hotel is a little outdated, but the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was helpful and friendly.
