Nights and weekends are really quiet, and the weekly rates are reasonable. My room was cleaned and vacuumed every day, and the staff were always smiling and polite. They checked that I had enough towels and toiletries. Managers Peter and Jay were professional and made me feel comfortable. Whoever owns this piece of Americana has a winning team!

The room was disgusting, and the tub was horrible. The online photos don’t look anything like it does in person. I paid over $100 for one night, and the AC was broken, hanging off the wall. I’ll never book here again.

I’ve always liked that it’s quiet and people mind their own business. The staff are friendly and polite, and so are the other people staying there. The place may be worn down, but it’s somewhere to lay your head. That was why my first stay seemed reasonable at $103 a night. Then on September 22, 2024, I paid $165, an increase of $65 for one night. DirecTV kept disconnecting from the TV, sometimes after less than 10 minutes. I think it may be an internet issue. I ended up watching Netflix on my phone to pass the time until bed. I’d never left a bad review before, but I wish they’d fix the TV connection.

The current Ivory Tower is nothing like it was when kids hung out there in the mid 80s. It has new ownership and management now. I’ve spent a lot of time there over the last 17-18 years, including stays 3-4 days a week from 2021-2024. Pete, the manager, is responsible for everything good there and is always helping people who need it. Ivory is the cheapest around. I highly recommend staying if you’re close. Gary
