Travelodge by Wyndham Green River WY

I've stayed here every week for years, and I'm appalled by what I've seen. Two weeks ago, a woman at the front desk was wearing a dog collar and leash. This week she was driving the shuttle dressed that way, with her boyfriend sitting in the front seat. We thought he was a passenger who'd get out with us, but other workers said he'd been up front all night. That feels deeply unprofessional, especially for a company we work with. Of the front desk staff, I've only seen the new Hispanic lady and the grave lady with colored hair clean the bathroom and the area behind the desk and lobby, and they seem to be the only professional ones. The Hispanic ladies sit in the lounge and have a party through their whole shift. The young woman who cleans in the late afternoon is by far the best housekeeper and cleans rooms properly. The rooms are filthy, and calling them dirty is putting it mildly. I doubt anyone has checked the beds, pillows, walls, or mold in years. Complaining gets nowhere. The same problems keep coming up, the managers do absolutely nothing, and the place seems to be going downhill. Time for new people to run this show.

The staff are really friendly, and the location seems very safe. It's a bit rundown and a little dirty, and the rooms feel like they're still from 1989. The bathroom sink is separate from the bathroom. Still, if all you need is a bed, toilet, and shower and aren't expecting much, it's fine. Not a terrible place to stay.

Our stay turned out great, and I'd come back without hesitation. The rooms weren't immaculate, but they were tidy and quiet. Staff came in each day while we were out to clean and change the sheets. We did have a brief problem with our keys, but several staff members were happy to help and we sorted it out quickly. I was unsure about staying after reading some reviews, but we were on a budget and decided to give it a try. I really believe how you approach people and your circumstances shapes your experience, and that was true for us.

After driving 16 hours straight, I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. I showed up without a reservation, and Karen at the front desk had me in a room and asleep within 10 minutes. The rooms are actually nice and really clean. Thanks again, Karen! And don't forget to get breakfast at Penny's diner.
