Doubletree Hotel Greensboro

The room was a mess all night. The AC unit tripped the circuit in the middle of the night, then beeped loudly. There were no windows to open, and I had to fiddle with it to make it stop. I also found multiple bugs, and the bathroom was so dirty I didn't even want to shower. The shower head blasted water like a jet stream, too. Someone tried opening my door at 11AM before I had checked out, which was really intrusive. The door was hard to open and felt like another maintenance problem they'd ignored. From outside, the place looked big and pretty, but it seemed run-down once I got a closer look. The lobby felt thrown together, with paper signs and a makeshift setup that came off cheap and sketchy. The restaurant was way overpriced for what you got, a total letdown. Overall, I'd score it 1/10.

Breakfast was above average, and the staff were really nice. The hotel was quiet, with all the amenities, and getting there was easy. Getting back onto the highway was even easier. We'd stayed somewhere else when passing through Greensboro earlier in the week, then tried this place on our way back. Glad we did, it was a great stop.

The room itself was clean and well stocked, and the staff were super friendly. There were a few issues, though: the lobby was under repair, the hot water at the coffee maker was only lukewarm, and the shower head leaked all night. I'd likely stay again.

The service was great, and having a bar was nice. I love this place, but it wasn't worth the money, and my room could've been cleaner. I swear those sheets weren't clean.
