I'm done with Hilton. I stayed with them around 150 nights last year, and of four major problems, only one was handled properly. Bugs can happen, but the response matters. Hilton corporate doesn't hold individual hotels accountable, so cleanliness, billing, and issue resolution are inconsistent. You don't run into this with Marriott or Hyatt. At check-in, I found fecal spotting on the mattress that looked consistent with bed bugs. The front desk offered a full refund if I checked out, so I did. After I'd booked elsewhere, they changed their position and said they'd charge me for a night. My most expensive night was under $140, yet they charged over $220 for that one night. Edit: Yes, I book all hotels through my Chase UR portal. Chase handles bookings and works with the hotel on refunds. The front desk told me I could leave with a full refund, but 30 minutes later Chase called to say the hotel was denying it. I made 10+ calls among Chase, the hotel, and Hilton, getting sent in circles until I gave up.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were amazingly accommodating. Breakfast was tasty and convenient too. Red Lobster is right next door, an easy walk.

At over $200, this place didn't meet expectations. The breakfast seemed to have been cooked in a microwave or in a bag in hot water. The sheets didn't feel fresh, the TV was dusty, and the microwave hadn't been wiped out. The fridge was sticky too. Dust was on the toilet and vanity, and there were dead bugs behind the toilet and around the room, including beside the A/C, under the bed edges, and behind the door. It had clearly been a while since the rooms were cleaned or dusted. It wasn't clean enough for me to want to shower there.

The beds were soft and not too noisy, and we thought the stay was cute and enjoyable. Breakfast was okay, though not the best. Our Honda Civic was broken into, and we think it may have been an inside job because someone at the hotel might have wanted to steal our bear, since Jacob manages Build A Bear. The manager said there was nothing they could do. We asked for room service at 3AM, and a cute bald man definitely took care of everything we wanted. We'll stay again!
