Harbor View Landing

The cottages have lots of thoughtful touches, from beach towels and blankets to a complimentary bottle of wine. Everything felt well considered, and the place was spotless. There are fire pits, bikes, kayaks, and lawn games too. Harbor View Landing is easy to reach near downtown Mystic, and casinos or Newport are a quick drive for a day out. I was surprised by the train, but it passes the property so quickly that it wasn’t a problem for us. A great option for a party, wedding, or weekend away.

We spent two nights in the Martha's Vineyard cottage with our two kids, and the layout worked really well for us. It was very clean, and having a small kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and cutting board and knife was handy. We liked sitting on the deck overlooking the harbor, wandering around the grounds, using the hammock, and checking out the north dock. The complimentary wine was delicious and a lovely touch. We just wish we’d had time to enjoy the fire pits.

We liked that the cottages aren’t all set up the same way, so different group sizes and needs can be accommodated. Our Nantucket cottage felt comfortable and homey, and we found it so relaxing that we extended our stay. It’s close to downtown Mystic, yet tucked away enough to feel quiet and private, especially during the off season when we visited. Harbor View Landing made for a perfect New England getaway. Already looking forward to returning.

We booked a night on the patriot as a birthday surprise for my mom, and it was a great choice. The space was beautifully decorated, the bed was really comfortable, and the shower had warm water. Music was playing when we walked in, which made it feel welcoming. The directions and expectations were clear, and the owners kept in touch. It’s just down the street from our favorite spot, Nanas, so it worked perfectly for a weekend getaway.
