After long hiking days, it was such a relief to come back to a relaxing, comfortable place. Steve and Alex made our stay at the Blackberry Inn perfect, with hospitality that beat any hotel. They knew the area, road openings, and Yosemite, and their recommendations were excellent. Breakfast was homemade and amazing each day, and the packed hiking lunches saved us time. They handled our gluten-free meals without any issue, and the cookies were A+. Thanks for making the trip wonderful!

Steve and Alex made our three nights at the Blueberry Inn feel special. Every morning Steve shared useful Yosemite advice, checked whether roads might be passable after snow at higher elevations, and gave us great ideas for day trips and our California road trip. Hearing about their lives in the USA and the region around Yosemite added a personal side to the stay. They're incredibly warm hosts, and we won't forget them. The house is beautifully cared for, full of little details, and we loved watching the hummingbirds. Breakfast was a daily highlight, with a changing mix of sweet and savoury dishes, plus excellent coffee and orange juice. Fresh towels and delicious biscuits appeared each day, and the room was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. We were there early in the season and got a particularly cosy room with a gas fireplace, just right for warming up after a chilly day in the park. We'd wholeheartedly recommend the Blueberry Inn. It's more than a place to sleep, it's an experience.

After full days hiking, we loved coming back to fresh-baked afternoon cookies and a quiet patio where we could watch the horses and hummingbirds. The Blackberry Inn is peaceful but still an easy drive to the Big Oak Flat entrance, and its location worked beautifully for our Yosemite trip. Our room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished for comfort. The real standout was Steve and Alex, who welcomed us like family. Steve's morning trail guidance and itinerary ideas helped us avoid hours in traffic and on crowded trails. Breakfast on the deck was creative and wonderful, and they accommodated our dietary needs. We'd choose this over staying in the crowded park valley every time.

Breakfast on the porch was magical: mountain views, hummingbirds at the feeders, and the owners' sweet pup coming over for scratches. Steve met me at the door, took time to get to know me, and helped me get ready for Yosemite. The homemade cookies left in my room each day were a lovely touch. The place is 15 miles from Yosemite, around 10 minutes from Groveland and the Historic Iron Door Saloon, with Lucky Buck Diner practically across the street. You can't ask for much more. Thanks for making this visitor from Savannah feel at home in the California mountains. I'll never forget it.

The setting is beautiful, with horses, hummingbirds, green fields, and ranches around you. It's also close to restaurants, a grocery store, and the cute little town of Groveland. We loved our stay: the hosts were friendly and accommodating, and Steve went out of his way to help us enjoy it. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, and breakfast was very, very good. If you're staying outside the park, stay here.
