Swiss 41 - Golf Course

The weather was great, though my swings weren’t, LOL. I had a fun day of golf at Swiss Fairways and will definitely be back. I talked with the owner, a fun guy with lots of industry knowledge and great stories. Cynthia at the clubhouse was super nice and quick to help us. They’ve also got some wonderful, friendly dogs to greet you there. Thanks for a fun day!

My husband stayed calm while the owner shouted obscenities and the F word at him and his golf partner. After they were told to start over, they went back from hole 2 to the first hole and began again, but the owner came back and yelled more obscenities. They had been paired with another twosome, who were short one and told my husband to go ahead without them. The owner hates Golf Now and screamed at my husband, who had booked his tee time through it. This is no way to treat customers. If the owner partners with GolfNow, people shouldn’t be treated terribly for using it. Be aware if you book through Golf Now and want to play here.

The scenery is great, and the shop has good deals. The greens and fairways were in great condition, and nine holes still gave us the feel of an 18-hole experience. Great value and a great time overall.

The course has a lovely, characterful layout and is fair but challenging when it’s in shape. The greens were the bright spot: 16/18 were very well maintained and rolled true. Without them, I would’ve rated the course one star. Still, it’s obvious the course has seen better days. I’m not sure what’s going on with the fairways, but many areas were oddly white. The tee boxes were either neglected and left to go, or being treated because they were chewed up. I’ll definitely come back once these issues are fixed. It’s a great little hidden gem in central Florida if they can get the ship back on course.
