M and M Motel

I left with my fiancé as soon as we saw the room. I don't need a fancy hotel, just somewhere clean and secure, and the website had made this look fine for one night. Instead, light came through gaps around the door, and the handle lock didn't feel secure with the holes left behind by a removed chain lock. The room looked like a jumble of discarded hand-me-downs. A shredded curtain was patched to the wall with grey tape, the choices for seating were a grey lawn chair or a badly stained chair that used to be white, and fraying electrical cords were patched with tape. The old mini fridge ran constantly and its door seal wouldn't hold. The comforter looked filthy, with its intended color visible only in the cracks. There was one towel and no washcloth, as if nobody had checked the supplies. A woman's floral panties were hanging over the shower rod, while the fire alarm base on the wall had no alarm attached. I got the impression that the owner's family lets their children stay in rooms when guests haven't booked, rather than in the small house beside the motel where you check in. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
