The room was clean, smelled great, and had comfortable beds, a microwave, and a fridge. The bathroom was spotless, and two nights cost way less than at the four-star hotels. The front desk woman was the highlight: warm and cheerful, and she made me feel like family. Since I have bad knees and stairs are difficult, she let me see one of the newly refurbished rooms on the first floor. I can’t say enough about her upbeat attitude. She deserves an “attaboy” for being so good at her job. I was very impressed.

There were several problems with the room. The tub needed cleaning, the microwave wasn’t clean, and I found a dead roach on one of the pillows. The toilet seat was broken, and the refrigerator wasn’t cold and smelled bad. The room wasn’t very clean.

For the price, the room was okay, and parking was good. The fridge was ice cold, and there are a few places to eat nearby, close to I10. But the blankets were literally paper thin, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. The area feels questionable, and the bathrooms could use an update. If they spent the money to fix the place up, it could be really nice.

The rooms have been nicely updated, the beds were comfortable, and customer service was great. I would have rated it higher, but the TV reception was horrible. They use Direct TV, and it kept going out.

The front desk guy was super, and I got my money back, but I couldn’t stay in any of the rooms he showed me. They all smelled so bad I felt like throwing up. The hotel was really run down, with stained carpet that looked like it came from another hotel, stained chairs, and a bed skirt with what looked like grease stains. The whole place was so gross that I just drove all night instead.
