Every summer we look forward to a few quiet days at Bay John, especially those incredible sunsets over Oyster bay. My wife took the photos. There’s a gym, an enclosed pool, barbecue grills, and a fishing pier, and the condos are all roomy and well furnished, though some are nicer than others. I’m almost reluctant to rave about this spot, since more people finding it could make it harder for us to get our favorite vacation days. But I’m a giver, so here we are.
We’re here by boat to fish, so I can’t speak to the condos or lodging. It’s a beautiful spot on the bon secour river, and the fishing is good.
The marina view is lovely, the pool was clean, and the rooms felt luxurious. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the condo was beautiful and spacious. One dining chair had apparently been broken and glued back together, then broke again and injured a family member. They replaced the chairs quickly with a bench, which worked fine. Even with that problem, I plan to return to this condo.
We’re halfway through our four-night stay and already know we’ll be back. There are two adults and six kids with us, and everyone has plenty of comfortable beds and bedding. The condo is clean and has everything we could need, and the clean pool is very close. Definitely recommend it.
There’s plenty of room and privacy in this relaxing condo, plus a screened patio that keeps the bugs out. The Bay view is really pretty, and the kitchen has just about everything, from dishes and utensils to a crock pot, blender, and fridge/freezer. We only needed to bring food. The one small thing I didn’t love was hearing people on the neighboring patios. I’d come back.
