Beachside Resort Hotel

We’ve stayed here three times, and would come back again. We’re a family of four and drove four and a half hours on Memorial Day for four nights. The room had a comfy bed, a good-sized fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, and the sunrise and sunset view was amazing. The beach is a short walk away, and there’s an ice cream parlor right out front that stays open late. The elevators kept acting up, so we used the stairs a lot. The pool area could use some attention too, with chairs needing repair and concrete broken in a couple of places.

We’d book again. The beach is close, the rooms are clean, the pool was fun, and the staff were helpful. Keisha was especially warm and went out of her way for us, though everyone was great. Having three beds in one room worked really well for our family. We had a fun stay.

This worked well for a quick first night of our trip, and the room was clean and as advertised. The full-size refrigerator was a nice perk, and I appreciated the hot coffee and working ice machine. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful at both check-in and check-out. Still, we were glad we weren’t staying a whole week. The property needs better upkeep. There was trash and cigarette butts on the stairs, almost every pool chair was broken, and the picnic tables outside were broken too. It left the place feeling neglected. We also kept getting a strong weed smell in our room, apparently from the people next door.

It rained all weekend, and the room’s humidity and condensation made the lack of rugs or mats especially inconvenient. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean, but water had nowhere to absorb. The hotel is dated, though the location is convenient, with the beach directly across the street. At check-in, the clerk didn’t mention places to eat or drink, the small breakfast, or where to get ice. Despite that, we enjoyed our visit.
