The corner unit has Gulf views stretching down the coast, and the balcony is so private and expansive I could live out there alone. With four bedrooms, four baths, and everything needed for a big family or friends' vacation, it works really well for a group.

The staff were friendly, the amenities were great, and the views were spectacular. Fantastic location, almost better than home.

I bought the Colonnades 401 unit this year, 2025, so yes, I'm giving it five stars. I wouldn't have purchased it if I felt otherwise 😂 Here's what sold me. Gulf Shores Alabama is a great beach town. I grew up on the East Coast and have been to nearly every beach from OC, Maryland to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I'd put GS up there for sand, surf, water clarity, and seafood 😛 Maybe not MD, though the crab cakes 😉. Alabama beaches are underrated and more affordable. I love bringing family and friends here, and hope they'll enjoy the place as much as I do. The location is a big draw. You can walk to the Hangout, the Pink Pony, and Sea-N-Suds, which is a really great place to eat. A short bike ride gets you to probably the best bike-trail I've ridden. It's near the main highway into GS, and the walk from the complex to the water is very short. The unit has 4br, 4bath, two balconies, one small and very private over the parking area, the other large one overlooking the pool and beach with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The Master bedroom has a jacuzzi and a large shower with two shower heads. There's a washer, dryer, the expected kitchen appliances, and an in-bar ice machine. I just replaced that ice-maker in April, and renters really love it. It's my first year as owner, and I know there are things I hope to update or replace inside. The oven microwave needs attention, but there's a portable one that works. The refrigerator is getting old, and I want to paint or replace the kitchen counters. Those things and other accessories I want to add should be coming soon. Come check it out and let me know what you liked or disliked.

Our family had a really enjoyable stay at the Colonnades this past week. The Gulf views were wonderful, and the location was amazing, even with the Phenix condo next door.
