Embassy Suites By Hilton Gulf Shores Beach Resort

The soundproofing made a big difference for us. Our room was near Sound Waves, where music was playing, but we couldn’t hear it until we stepped out onto the patio. We were there for my daughter’s 13th birthday, and Embassy Suites by Hilton Gulf Shores Beach Resort made the stay feel special from start to finish. They upgraded us from a partial gulf view to a full one, and the room was spotless and well maintained. Everyone we met was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The heated pool looked gorgeous at night, and the fitness center had plenty of equipment for different workouts. Valet was quick, professional, and friendly. Check-in and check-out were easy, breakfast was delicious every morning, and I liked having two physical room keys plus a digital key. There were enough outlets and charging ports for all our devices, too. The resort fee felt worthwhile for what came with it: a beach bag, an hour of bike rental each day, a s’mores kit, beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler. The beach is just a short hop away. There are souvenir shops under a five-minute walk, restaurants in the hotel, and lots more nearby. I don’t drink, but I saw plenty of adults enjoying the complimentary evening reception, which looked like a nice perk. We had no complaints. It was a wonderful place for such a special birthday.

The location by the beach is nice, the rooms were clean, and there was plenty to do. For an eight-day stay, it would’ve been good to have a few different reception options during the week. The one issue was a broken child safety lock on our balcony door at check-in. The hotel said replacement locks were on backorder. Apart from that, they were very accommodating, and breakfast was nice each morning. I do wish there were a hot tub by the pool.

We spent a week in a king suite, and the location made it easy to get to shops and lots of restaurants. There’s a Starbucks on-site, along with several bars in the lobby, by the pool, and on the second-floor patio. The hotel was modern and very clean, the most updated resort we’ve stayed in. Staff were great, especially the team across the street handling the beach chairs and umbrellas. At breakfast, the staff kept a close eye on the food and coffee and replenished everything right away.

I was there on a work trip, and everyone from the valets at the entrance to Nicholas at check-in made me feel welcome. The room was fresh and clean, with a lovely view, and the bed was comfortable. They even had an extra blanket for cold nights. At Tide, the woman at the entrance was so friendly, and Skakria made me a perfect omelette to order. Chounecy was warm and attentive, too. This changed my mind about Hilton stars. 10/10. I’ve already recommended it to friends who booked a getaway for this weekend. Thank you.
