The beach access and closeness to amenities, attractions, and the airport were positives at Gulf Village Condominium 1027 W Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542. The building is older and has been through storms. Seeing the entry door made me hope the inside would be better. The unit was clean, but it clearly hadn’t had a deep clean in a long time. The couch was worn out and poor quality, and both bed mattresses sagged in the middle and squeaked badly. The main sliding door was broken and hard to lock, so we only used the bedroom slider. The toilet had no handle, just a rod, but they fixed it within a day. The kitchen had plenty of good cooking options, and having a washer and dryer was appreciated. The patio furniture was nice and good quality. The dishwasher wasn’t secured properly and tipped forward when opened. The pool wasn’t clean. Other tenants said the larger end units were nice, but also had bad mattresses. If you want a newer place with higher quality, this isn’t it. Be careful with unit 114, it will disappoint.
