Harbor House Unit 11B

The beach is just steps away, and I loved the balcony view. My family and I recently stayed in condo #31. It was very clean, the owner communicated well, and we could walk to restaurants and stores.

We stayed in a private residence. I’d hoped the pool would be heated, but it was colder than the ocean. The parking lot had lots of potholes and flooded when it rained.

Being right on the beach meant I didn’t have to cross the street or deal with beach road traffic, which was a big plus with my bad knee. Unit 33 was lovely and quiet at night as an end unit. Parking was fantastic, just 5 feet from the stairs. The owners were very accommodating, and the unit had everything, including beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys for the kids. I noticed the off-season prices are a steal, so it looks like I’ll be heading back to the beach soon!

Harbor House is right by the beach, and you can walk straight out the door to it. It’s also handy for restaurants, Walmart, fast food, and other main spots. The price was reasonable, and I liked that it was a stand-alone building with a washer and dryer in the unit. I stayed in August, and here’s my honest take: the front door is exposed right by the street, and the building and interior are very old and dated. A few things were rusted from condensation, some lamps didn’t work, and the stove wouldn’t turn on. There was sand in the beds and sheets when we arrived, so we had to wash everything the first night. We lost water on our last night. The office responded quickly and fixed it, but it was a minor inconvenience that could have been major. Bring your own blanket or comforter and plenty of towels.
