We stayed in 1502, a beautiful unit with nice upgrades and bunk beds, and we’ll definitely return. We’ve been in all the newer Brett/Robinson buildings, and Phoenix Gulf Shores II is a big step above the others. The lobby looks gorgeous, and the indoor heated pool feels much nicer than the ones elsewhere. We also loved the lazy river and slide, and the lobby gift shop had surprisingly reasonable prices. The automatic sliding entrance doors are my favorite feature, no more struggling to get luggage through a heavy door!
We had an oceanfront condo in this high-rise, and the rooms are big. Our unit didn’t have much to cook with in the kitchen, though I know every condo may be different. The ice maker was a bonus. The beach gets very crowded, and if you bring your own chairs and umbrellas, you have to compete with the beach staff, who move your things to set out rental chairs. I wasn’t happy about that. The pool, lazy river, and indoor pool were clean, but packed. I think it’s 24 floors, with only four elevators, so the waits are longer than at most places.
Our group of ten, including four small children, had an excellent family trip. The condo was spacious and clean, the kids loved the slide and pools, and all the staff we met were pleasant and helpful despite the reviews I’d read. We followed the rules, which weren’t anything crazy, and had a blast. I somehow left a bag behind when we checked out, and they kept it for me so family could pick it up. Perfect trip, we’ll book again!
We held our family Christmas gathering in Phoenix Gulf Shores II Unit 701, a four-bedroom condo, and all nine of us were delighted. The modern, uncluttered design looked just right and was comfortable for everyone. Brett Robinson staff did an excellent job preparing the unit. Thanks for a wonderful family holiday.
There’s a smell in the king suite of unit 401, kind of like vomit. We checked all over but couldn’t find anything, so I’m guessing it may be in the rug from a previous guest or coming from the bathroom drains. It didn’t get in the way of our stay, though. The place is beautiful and the employees have all been fantastic. This was my first time in Gulf Shores, and I’m in love. I hope guests keep taking care of the property so it stays this lovely. Rent it, you won’t be disappointed. I’m already thinking about booking for next year.
