Plantation East II

I’ve fallen in love with this quiet vacation spot. We really recommend the compound because it’s so peaceful and easy to enjoy. If you don’t want to drive, there’s a very nice restaurant on the grounds, “SASSY BASS ISLAND GRILL”. A couple of other spots serve a good coffee or breakfast. “SELAH” is the coffee shop right in front of the Security Guard station. Just across the street, “KIVA GRILL” has a really great breakfast menu. If you’re watching your budget, there’s a “GENERAL DOLLARS “ a few miles back on Fort Morgan Road. It has a great selection for cooking your own meals.

There’s loads to do here with the family, or you can just relax. The beach and pools are great, and there are basketball, tennis and pickleball courts too. We love this family-friendly beach condo complex, and Unit 3127 is great. The Resort at Gulf Shores Plantation really has it all.

We had a really nice stay as a couple. The beach, pools, golf courses, and good restaurants were all close by, and Jesse's on the Bay and Coast Restaurant both served delicious, good-quality food. Our condo was comfortable, and the kitchen was cute. A few things needed attention: some floor tiles were broken, the guest bathroom faucet needed fixing, and the main bathroom could use an upgrade. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi to connect, and the elevator smelled so awful we held our breath going in.

We had a pleasant stay and would think about coming back. It was nice meeting other travelers around the pools, beach, and outdoor grills before dinner. The beach location is excellent and, since it's some distance from town, it wasn't crowded. There was a lot of construction while we were there, but it seemed aimed at keeping things up to date for residents and guests. Basic essentials were supplied, while extra comforts were up to each guest. The units are a little small for families, but workable.
