This was our first visit, and we won’t be back. The price seemed fair when I booked, based on what I thought we’d get, but the whole stay was awful. At the gate, the security kid was rude. Our room, number 1367 in building 7, had a crow’s nest and was much smaller than we expected. A white key card was hanging on the wall with no explanation. My husband, son, and nephew stayed to look around while the rest of us went grocery shopping. They found the indoor amenities we’d paid for, but couldn’t get in. Three days later we learned the owners hadn’t paid for that package, even though we’d been told the rental included those things. We got a refund for one day’s stay, but were told it would take 14 days to arrive. The laundry room wasn’t in our building. We were told we could use the one in building 6, but nobody said where it was. We had to ask the workers fixing the pool walkway. They’d removed the bottom of a condo, apparently because of a possible water leak. Parking by building 7 is a joke. If you leave, you can end up with a very long walk back. There was nothing proper to cook with either, so bring your own pots, pans, and pizza pan. Just a horrible experience.

The grounds were clean and in great shape. I liked having security at the entrance to keep out people who weren't staying there. There was a restaurant, several pools, and tennis courts on the property. Room 1367 was nice overall, though the bathroom needs updating: the paneling was peeling and the sink cabinet was in rough condition. Several lights were out, so I bought bulbs at the store. There were two TVs, but only one had a Roku, and there were no subscriptions. I don't use my personal logins at hotels or condos, and the upstairs TV had nothing on it at all. We didn't spend much time in the room, but it would've been nice to watch something before bed. It can sleep six, but with four of us it felt a bit cramped.

We loved staying here and had no complaints, well, except for the lack of nearby restaurants. Get groceries before you arrive. The Dollar General down the road was like being in the Hunger Games.

I wouldn't stay here again, especially for the price. The condo was really small and not very clean when I arrived. The keypad broke, and it took two hours to get it fixed. We also couldn't use the gym, sauna, or indoor pool, and parking costs extra.

The indoor pool was warm, and there are lots of outdoor pools too. It’s right on the ocean, with a restaurant and a coffee and ice cream shop on site. Just know that Gulf Shores is about a 20-minute drive away.
