Sunchase

The best parts were the location and pool. We were very close to the beach, and the pool was clean, warm, and relaxing. Parking was less convenient on busy days. We were lucky to have an open space next to us, but when the lot is full, the layout near the concrete pillars makes parking difficult. Inside, the condo was decent but much smaller than the listing led us to expect. The beds were uncomfortable, with plastic covers that made them hot and noisy. The rough sheets kept slipping off, so we ended up sleeping right on the plastic. The towels were small and scratchy, too. We had told Vacasa in advance that six guests were coming, but there were only four towels. After I asked for more, a representative initially suggested waiting until morning. We eventually got two extra towels. Supplies were sparse as well, with just one garbage bag, so we used shopping bags for the rest of our multi-day stay. There were no printed checkout instructions in the condo. I texted to ask, and the instructions came through eventually, followed by a message, probably automated, scolding me for not seeing the original instructions. That felt unnecessary and frustrating. A straightforward helpful reply would have been better. Smoke from cigarettes and marijuana drifted from neighbors on the shared open-air walkways, which took away from an otherwise pleasant setting. We booked Sunchase condo #209 through VRBO, with the unit managed by Vacasa. The stay was mixed, and the comfort and hospitality details fell short.

Unit 111 was such an unexpected find. Loved the place. Perfect, end of story.

My sister booked Sunchase @ 1129 Pkway (?!) for herself, me, and her kids. The pool was my nephew’s favorite, since he wasn’t keen on the beach waves. I loved the hot tub. The place was clean, bright, and right by the beach. Only hassle was that the dumpster makes things a tight squeeze if you’re in one of the first couple of parking spots. Otherwise, a lovely little gem. Thanks so much!

The best thing was being right on the beach, close to other things, and having kitchen amenities supplied. The rooms looked nice at first, but a closer look turned up duct tape on the shower head and odds and ends around the place. It was clean, just a bit disorganized. For what you pay, you get what you get. The property manager didn’t even know what the designated parking lots looked like.
