The Landing 202

Our family's summer vacation at Bel Sole Condominiums last week was great apart from one upsetting issue. Each time we walked to and from the beach, a Hispanic man made inappropriate comments to my wife and teenage daughter. He was staying on the second floor of the building directly on W. Beach Blvd., beside the Bel Sole parking lot and facing south toward the Gulf. Bel Sole's Security Officer knows about the behavior. The Landing property owners should address it with the people in that unit, who may still be there.

The bay behind the place was the best part, and the beach is just across the street. But I probably wouldn't stay here again, and I won't book through Vacasa again. I booked and paid in full for a different beachfront location about a week before the trip, then got a message that it wouldn't be available. When I called, they sent options, but said I had to choose one while still on the phone. I picked The Landing 203 because the other choices weren't in Gulf Shores, where my family is. When we arrived, they were out of the parking passes I'd paid $25 each for, so they gave me a paper with our information. The condo guy said that wouldn't work and we needed a pass, and I was told to have him call them. Getting in took a while because the screen door was locked. The outside looked dated and the inside was better, but very small. We kept bumping into things and each other. The bedroom blind was missing slats, so getting dressed there felt risky unless you were okay with someone possibly seeing you. The toilet paper and towel holder were so loose that my husband had to put both back up. The cabinet had a missing knob, and the bathroom door was loose.

There's a private dock and pier on Little Lagoon, plus a nice pool and picnic area. Getting to the beach across the street is quick and easy. It's a quieter part of Gulf Shores, while restaurants and attractions are still close by.

The balcony and its view were amazing, and the condo was beautiful, clean, inviting, and relaxing. There's also a pool and the lagoon nearby. Absolutely amazing!
