I’m active-duty military PCSing with ECS as an I-stop, and spent three weeks here. The staff I dealt with were kind and accommodating, though I ran into some unexpected complications. If you’re attending ECS, especially with pets, housekeeping skipped my room several times. I kept asking the front desk whether I’d done something wrong, and they asked if my do-not-disturb sign was out. On Friday the 13th, they told me some housekeepers were refusing service because of superstition. I have a black cat and two tuxedos. My pets were approved and within hotel policy, so there was no valid reason to skip the room, and now I wonder how they were treated while I was away. Classes start early, but breakfast doesn’t begin until 6:00 AM Monday-Friday, so you probably can’t eat it. The front desk lends hot plates and pans for preparing food in the room. With busy training schedules, late checkout may be needed. Regular checkout is 11:00 AM, and checkout at 2:00 PM costs extra.

We chose this place for its location, and as longtime Hilton Honors members, we were very disappointed. We planned to stay more than a week but left early. Breakfast was hot and had a good selection, and the floor was quiet, but the lack of room cleaning bothered us. They were replacing mattresses and used that as the reason not to clean. Cleaning was meant to happen every other day, yet after four days we had to ask, and got just one cleaning. There was no extra pillow or DND door sign, and when I requested them, the front desk argued that I hadn’t looked.

I spent seven weeks here for work and really enjoyed my stay. Frances from housekeeping was especially helpful and polite, keeping my room clean and making sure I had the supplies I needed. I plan to stay here next time I’m in Gulfport, whether for work or pleasure, and highly recommend the hotel. Thank you.

Breakfast was great, but both rooms I was placed in needed a deeper clean, especially the showers. Each showerhead had dirt and grime on it.

The rooms were nice, but the service was awful. On the third day, they took away the dirty towels and left only three bath towels, with no hand or floor towel. I called the front desk, and they said they’d bring some up, but nobody did. The trash wasn’t emptied either. Housekeeping did a poor job.
