The Almanett Hotel

We spent our 16th anniversary at this lovely couples' place, and it became one of our best getaways. Shae was especially sweet and made it feel special. She knows the hotel and has lots of local facts about the city and things to do around it. The whole staff, from the owner on, was marvelous. Shae and her sister feel like part of our Gulfport family. I hope I haven't left any stones flipped over, but we want to say thank you all for the wonderful hospitality. ❤️🥰

I went on a Saturday afternoon, tried the lollipop lamb chops with collard greens and jambalaya, and loved it all. The service was excellent, and I got to meet the owner, who's super cool and looks like Red Fox lol. Such a hidden gem. I'm definitely coming back to try more dishes and catch one of their events, like live bands or spoken word.

We stumbled into a nearby restaurant for lunch and ordered seafood hamburger, okra, fried green tomatoes, and jamalai, hoping to sample traditional southern Mississippi food. Everything tasted great, but the lamb chops stood out most. They were tender, soft, and juicy, some of the best I've had. Karaoke was happening at the restaurant on Wednesday, and the customers' voices were incredible. It felt like a jazz festival. I'd highly recommend a visit for the food and pleasant atmosphere.

We had the whole Almanett Hotel to ourselves during our week in Gulfport, which made it feel like home. Everyone was comfortable and well looked after, and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere added so much to our wedding weekend. Michael and Tasha were easy to work with and incredibly accommodating from start to finish. They went out of their way to make sure our family had what we needed and everything ran smoothly. We're grateful for their hospitality and would recommend The Almanett for a comfortable, personal stay.
