Holiday Inn Wilmington by IHG

Jennifer was so polite and helpful when she checked us in, and the rooms were very clean. We got a dog-friendly room with a basket of things for our fur baby, which I loved. No other hotel we've stayed at has done that. The beds were so comfortable, and it was the best night's sleep I've had at a hotel. There's a food place attached, though the breakfast wasn't great and didn't feel worth $16 per adult. I did love having the coffee place attached, so I didn't have to go elsewhere for Starbucks. This is the best hotel experience I've had, and my family travels a lot. We'll stay here when we travel.

The hotel is a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but we had a very nice meal at Ralph's, the hotel restaurant, and enjoyed some very nice specialty cocktails. The room was big, as were the hallways and lobby, and everything was clean. We loved the hotel and had a very nice stay.

The staff were friendly, but I won't be back. Although the hotel has been updated, it felt cold and modern instead of warm and welcoming. The tile and wood-like hard floors were uncomfortable underfoot in the middle of the night, while the halls had thick padded carpet. My updated room still had rust on the desk chair arms and dirty caulk, so the little details seemed overlooked. Even though the hotel was pretty empty, my window faced an A/C unit. There weren't good places to eat on site, which was especially a drawback at breakfast. I'd heard good things about this place, but I don't think they hold true anymore.

The staff were pleasant, polite, and very accommodating during my 14-day business stay. I asked to have my room mopped because the floors looked a little untidy, and they took care of it promptly. After that, the room was serviced daily with fresh towels and the trash emptied.
