The food is incredible, and the local knowledge comes in handy. It can get a little noisy, but otherwise it’s a clean, relaxing stay in the heart of Gustavus. The place has the warmth and charm of someone’s home.

We had a four-night family stay and the meals were a real highlight. Breakfast and dinner were the parts of the day we looked forward to most, thanks to the amazing food from Dave, Joann, and their staff. A lot of it is grown there, and the seafood is local and fresh. We have four boys, and the staff were especially kind and thoughtful with them. The boys shared a room that slept four, while my wife and I had the room next door. Both rooms were bigger than I expected, clean, and everything worked well. The owners and staff made us feel at home and handled things so we could relax and enjoy the outdoor activities in Gustavus. Dave arranged our daily activities and bookings. When the Glacier Bay tour boat had mechanical trouble and returned to the dock after an hour at sea, I called the inn. They quickly brought sack lunches and bikes to the dock so we could ride around Gustavus, and we still had a great day. I hope to return many times, and would only consider staying at Gustavus Inn.
