Midway Motel

Those heavy blankets made my first night's sleep rough. I left a note, and the owners brought me two lighter ones. They were so kind and friendly throughout. The rooms were clean and the showers nice and hot. Best motel I've stayed at, and I could go on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The room itself was comfortable, and the TV, fridge with freezer, and microwave were all new. It's a little out of the way from I80, and while the owners are working to upgrade this older motel, a few issues remain. I was disappointed to find that the new shower had no water.

2025. We spent two nights here while visiting relatives in Guthrie Center. I'd stayed before the current owners took over and remodeled after the storm damage. The price is low, and the room had a fridge, microwave, Wi-Fi, a desk with power, a walk-in shower, good towels and face cloths, comfortable beds, somewhere to hang clothes, a mirror, and a wall unit for heat and cooling. The bathroom has no counter space or vent, apart from opening its window. There's only an overhead light and nothing over the mirror, so shaving in the shadow was difficult. The toilet paper was so thin I had to fold it into many layers to keep pee and poop from coming through to my hand. There are lots of TV channels, but the Direct TV controller takes a long time to find the one you want. The heating and cooling unit was noisy enough that I had to turn it off to sleep, and the walls are thin enough that we could hear the next room's TV. We won't stay here on future trips to Guthrie Center.

Having two adjoining rooms worked really well for our group, and we had a great stay. The fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were a nice bonus. We'll definitely stay again.
