Best Western Plus Guymon Hotel & Suites

We stayed on 21 October 25 in room 403, in a fairly new outbuilding. The room was big and clean, and breakfast was a real step up from the usual frozen biscuits and pan of white “stuff.” A nice woman cooked eggs to order, with plenty of bacon and sausage too. The hot tub and pool setup was very good, though getting to it meant crossing the parking lot to the main building. That wasn’t a problem. There are at least five friendly cats wandering around, and they seemed well cared for. The steak house across the lot was good, too. It felt like a good value in a nice location, and I’d stay again without hesitation.

The heated pool was a nice bonus, and the hotel and rooms were very clean. Everyone on staff was five stars, day or night, and breakfast was amazing. My husband called it the best hotel he’s ever stayed in. We travel a lot and have tried some pretty posh, expensive places, so that says a lot. We’d definitely come back.

That king bed in room 103 needs replacing. There’s a deep dip on one side, and it was incredibly uncomfortable. At check-in, I was told someone had just asked to switch rooms but that nothing was wrong with this one. There was. When I mentioned it at checkout, I got a warm smile and a “thank you,” but the room wasn’t worth $147, and the continental breakfast was mediocre at best. I’m not sure how the ratings are 9.0 on hotels.com and 4.4 on Google. We’ve been happy with every other best western, so this was disappointing. Check-in itself was quick and easy, and the clean lobby and room felt inviting. The first-floor room was quiet, the highway location was convenient, and the pizza and burger place across the street was delicious.

Breakfast was fresh and hot, with burritos made to order. The beds were comfortable, the staff were great, and everything was very clean. We’d definitely stay here again if we pass through.
