Sportsman's Lodge

Dan at the bar made our group feel at home almost immediately. Within an hour, he knew all our names and seemed to know when we wanted another drink or some food. Before long, he felt like part of our group. We met Paulie, who was making all the food behind the scenes, and every special she made was incredible. I ate there every night during our three-night stay. We came with family and friends to fish for Sturgeon and stayed in a villa beside sportsman's lodge. After long days on the water, we went to the lodge each night for food and drinks, and the service was incredible. It’s a wonderful option for fishing, with your dock a short walk from the lodging, and the food and service are great.

The fishing was great and the price was fantastic, but the boat was filthy and the bathroom on it was horrendous. I also heard from a couple staying in the rooms that their room was dirty. The new owners don’t seem to care. Food was only available at the bar. Would I go back? Maybe.

The food was fantastic, especially the pork pot roast, and the chef deserves a high five. Everyone at Sportsmans was welcoming and nice. Ask for Jake as your guide, then let Dan and Devin look after you at the bar. Can’t wait to come back next winter!

This was our second year at Sportsman’s Lodge for ice fishing, and the service was outstanding. Heather at the front desk was welcoming, helpful, and full of useful information. Boone, our bombardier driver, was exceptional and checked in several times to see if we needed anything.
