The area has limited places to eat, which was a small downside, though that’s not the motel’s fault. I enjoyed the view and a quick breakfast before heading to the ferry. The room was comfortable, and check-in was easy. It was a pleasant stay.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but the views were lovely. We rented a car from the owner, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Car rental is pricey, though, and Haynes is small enough to get around on foot. It might make sense to rent only for the days you plan to leave town.

Our dogs settled in comfortably in room 232, which was right at the end. There were good places nearby to walk them and let them do their business. Haines is such a beautiful place, and we loved our time there. Thanks to Captain Choice for hosting us at this modern motel with its great views and breakfast. The coffee was amazing too.

The town is beautiful, and this motel has a relaxed feel, clean rooms, and breathtaking views in every direction. It’s dog friendly, with a laundry room on site and continental breakfast in the morning. The beds were comfy too.
