Cypress Inn On Miramar Beach

The room was impeccable and had all the amenities we needed. Parking was easy and free, which is rare in California. We were pleasantly impressed, and will definitely return soon. It’s right in front of the ocean, so you can open the balcony doors to an unobstructed view and a peaceful setting. That made it feel worth the stay on its own, whether you’re looking to rest, celebrate a honeymoon, or have a romantic getaway. Happy hour was lovely, and a very good breakfast was delivered to our room at the time we scheduled.

My daughter and I were road-tripping through Northern California when we made an unexpected stop in half Moon Bay. After looking online, we chose Cypress Inn for our one night. Zachary, the Inn manager, was incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived, and we were lucky that the La Luna room with a full ocean view was available. We felt thoroughly pampered. The room and decorations were charming, the happy hour with wine and hors d'oeuvres was lovely, and the delicious breakfast served in our room was wonderful. If you’re traveling along this spectacular stretch of the California coast, make time to visit Cypress Inn and meet the staff. They won’t disappoint.

I needed a place at the last minute and had no reservation, but the host at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I forgot to ask his name; I stayed on 10/9/25, and he was the only person at the desk. They were serving wine and appetizers when I arrived, and the spread was impressive, though my photos don’t capture it. I stayed in the "La Lluvia" room, which had a spectacular view. The room, furnishings, and bed were clean and modern, with everything I could need. I fell asleep to the ocean breeze and crashing waves, feeling completely at peace. At check-in the day before, I’d been given a menu and options for breakfast service times. In the morning, they brought a full breakfast and a whole pot of coffee to my room. I enjoyed it on my private patio, listening to the peaceful waves. It was exactly what I needed, and I’ll definitely come back for a longer stay.

My husband planned a trip to Half Moon Bay and Cypress Inn for my 30th (plus 27) birthday, and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The drive was wonderful, the room was great, the food was delicious, and the views were mesmerizing. Customer service matters a lot to me, and Zachary and the whole staff, including the housekeepers, were absolutely outstanding. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. As an African American, I need to feel welcome and, above all, respected, because I won’t tolerate anything less. They checked every box, and we felt like family.
