The bed was firm and comfortable, just right for a traveler, and there was plenty of room for food and a suitcase. The showers were great, with hot water that lasted a long time. Bonnie was a helpful host who gave me a lovely tour, and there were two adorable outdoor cats cared for by the community. I had a wonderful time here and highly recommend staying.

The only real plus was the location, just minutes from the beach. The place was run-down and had cockroaches. The online photos looked lovely, but the real ones are scary, as if they’d been generated by ChatGPT. We saw two roaches during our stay, and if you see two, there are more. Worst of all, nobody responded to us, even when we were checking out. I’ll never stay there or recommend it. My friend and I were supposed to check in on 3/6 and check out on 3/8. All our paperwork said to check in before 2 a.m. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived at the hostel at 1:19 a.m. The lobby was empty, with a sign saying it closed at 11 p.m. We called the lobby number, got no answer, and could hear the phone ringing. Another number went to an answering service, and the person said they’d pass along our message and someone would contact us. After waiting an hour, we tried again, but the answering service had stopped responding too. We ended up “sleeping” in the lobby. At 6:07 a.m. we got a text saying, “good news, you room is ready.” Nobody showed us how to find it. When we did, someone was already in the bed I’d been texted was mine. Alex, who did maintenance, barber, and shoe repair work, was the only person we ever saw in the lobby, but he wasn’t the person I needed answers from.

I arrived at 23:45, 15 minutes before midnight, after completing the online pre-check-in, but the lobby was locked and there was no staff. The listing says 24 Hour Reception and Free Parking, which was completely misleading. I spent an hour and a half outside messaging with their agent. They eventually sent an electronic key, but no parking permit, and there was a towing warning sign, so I couldn’t safely leave my car. I didn’t stay for even a minute, yet they still charged me. Just pass this place by.

The rooftop pool was a vibe, and the staff were super friendly. I had a great stay and would definitely come back for another weekend getaway.
