There were termites everywhere. We couldn’t find another place at short notice, and the bed was comfortable, but I’d never come back. Getting onto the property was difficult, and leaving felt like a serious safety issue because you needed a code to get out through the gate. Every time we came or went, I had to enter the code three or four times. Who runs this place? No, no, no.

The room I had was larger than a hotel suite, and the property sits among lots of shops and places to eat, about 2 to 3 mi from the beach. I wish I’d taken pictures, since it was better than I expected from the reviews. There’s no attendant, so you use keypads to get through the gate and into your room.
