Motel 6 Hamburg, NY

The room felt unclean, with a dirty bathroom and visible cigarette burns on the bed. Cleanliness should be a basic priority at a motel, and this stay fell short of what I expected. I hope management sorts these problems out for future guests.

For a $70 room, it was good, and the bed was comfortable. I only stayed one night, but it was better than I expected from a motel. The service was nice, especially since I arrived later than I was supposed to. The man working early in the morning was very friendly and even moved me to a cheaper room than the one I’d paid for. I’d stay here again.

I got in super late and didn’t realize how bad the room was until I’d changed and was ready for bed. The sink looked like someone had shaved in it, the tub was full of hair and who knows what else, and the bed had hair, stains, burn holes, and some red-colored stuff all over it. The toilet was clogged. When I checked out, I went to a Pilot Truck stop to shower. The location was fine, right off the freeway, and the staff were friendly.

The room floors still seemed pretty dirty despite the overwhelming cleaner smell, and there were a bunch of food wrappers beside the bed. Staff were very friendly for the most part. I was irritated when we asked about upgrading to a king and were told nothing was available, even though the place didn’t look anywhere near 25% booked. Maybe they just hadn’t gotten a room ready, so I’m not basing my review on that.
