Vinehurst Inn And Suites

The address sent my GPS nowhere useful, so thank goodness Expedia directions got us to Vinehurst. Our room was okay, but the jetted tub in the suite was on a 15 minute timer. I had to get out to reset it, which really spoiled the relaxing mood. The bedroom had a TV, but there wasn’t one in the sitting area by the tub. WiFi in the room was terrible, and I couldn’t finish the work I needed to do. I mentioned the problem, but the only suggestion was to sit in the dining area by the office and check-in desk. I didn’t feel comfortable doing that, and I expect WiFi in my room. I ended up driving 15 minutes to McDonald’s to get online, a huge inconvenience. The sheer curtains didn’t block the bright early sun. Since the air conditioner was right below the window, we had to keep the long drapes open so it could work. After checking in late Friday because we’d both worked, we were awake by 6:30 Saturday morning and exhausted by late morning. Breakfast was below average for a continental one: coffee and OJ, cereal, oatmeal packets, mini muffins, packaged bagels, pound cake, hard-boiled eggs, watermelon, and Topps yogurt. With only five tables for two, it was hard to find a seat. If they’d offered some compensation for the WiFi, I might have considered another stay, but I’m a one-and-done customer.

A really nice place, run by a lovely couple. Our basic double room was clean and well kept, with plenty of useful things like a mini fridge, microwave, and ice container. The complimentary breakfast had a great variety.

We were a small group of friends on a short cycling trip around Lake Keuka. Vinehurst is an older motel, a couple miles from the lake, and well placed for the area. The beds were comfortable, and the Family Suite was huge, spacious, and very clean and well maintained, though a bit dated. The included continental breakfast gave us more than enough for the ride around the lake. Our hostess, Neeta, was especially kind and attentive, and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay.

Beautiful rooms in a gorgeous area, and the place was adorable, clean, unique, and accommodating. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and patient. A great experience!
