Justin at the desk fixed my booking mistake with a smile and more grace than you’d expect. The room was clean and nicely set up as a two-bedroom suite. Mike at the bar managed two particular travelers and a room full of young sales reps without missing a beat. I’m very pleased.

The hotel was good during my stay from Jan 9 to Jan 11, though I’d expected more luxury from a Hyatt, so I’d give it four stars. The two people at reception around 9 p.m. on Jan 9 deserve ten stars, though, for being so kind and welcoming. They made my night after a tiring trip to New Jersey. I’m sorry I never got their names, but they may remember me from the jacket we joked about.

Justin was a phenomenal asset to the team. He gave me personable service and sorted out any small issues I ran into, or might have run into, during my stay. Knowing that my needs and preferences are being met is what would make me choose this hotel again over a competitor.

Parking validation was nice, and otherwise the hotel was fine, but I had a rough stay. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Renovation work in the hotel caused loud banging through Sunday and early Monday, coming from directly upstairs. There was also noisy construction next door starting at 6 a.m., which made it very hard to sleep. I’ve stayed at other Hyatt House locations and usually have no problems, but this one was an exception.

I stayed three nights, Dec 12-15, in room 217, a two-bedroom suite. It was really clean, comfortable, and quiet, the staff were friendly, breakfast had good options, and parking was free. I thought they could have spent more on details like the wallpaper, carpet, and wood trim to give it a more luxurious feel. The hotel is showing a little age, but for the price it was fine. I’d stay again if the rate suited me.
