OTIS Harbor Springs

Our room’s wall A/C units were loud, and on sunny days they heat up and stay warm into the night, which is worth a star off. Still, it’s a perfect base for exploring Harbor Springs and beyond, and we’ll return. The property is a restored Harbor Springs icon, with 1960s chic, plenty of original period decor and hardware, and slide-in-groove windows that are a blast from the past. Staff were super helpful and attentive, and they resolved an issue quickly, beyond expectations. We ate here one night and the food was phenomenal: handmade pastas and locally sourced meats and produce, all prepared perfectly. Locals come here too.

The Birch room is so cozy, with a plush bed that’s hard to get out of. The food was to die for, especially the prawns, and the drinks were delicious. Everyone was so nice, and the flamingo estate products in the bathroom are the biggest perk of all. Amazing, amazing, amazing! I’d absolutely stay again or even come by for dinner.

The bar and lounge were a perfect place for a cocktail after skiing, and the old fashioned was 10/10. We stayed for a ski weekend and couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. The rooms felt cozy and had everything we needed, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

The food though!!!! So. Good. And every person at Otis is incredible. Ash, Sam, Abigail, Helen, and Shannon were so welcoming and just great to be around. The location, art, and atmosphere are beautiful. Each day we woke to dense fog and deer outside the window, then the sun broke out around midday. Ope, and THE STARS at night. I’ll be coming back!
