Homestead Inn and Suites

The staff were welcoming, and the free breakfast was tasty with lots of food and drinks to choose from. My room at the Homestead Inn was clean and well equipped, with a microwave, refrigerator, freezer, hair dryer, and a very comfortable bed. I'd definitely come back.

My first trip to Montana went really well thanks to the staff. L**Anne was especially lovely and looked after us while we were in town. M**y, the other housekeeper we had, was pleasant to deal with as well. The ladies were professional and took care of what we needed during our longer stay. The rest of the staff were great, too. We had breakfast on a few mornings, and it was good. Thank you!

The one trouble I ran into was the guest laundry. Two of the four dryers and one of the two commercial-grade Speed Queen washers were out of order, and the remaining washer broke on my last night when I needed to do laundry. Otherwise, I'd stay again if I'm back in the area. The place looks dated and I didn't expect much, but the room was clean and everything worked. The bathroom was spotless, with no mold, dirty shower, or grime around the sink or toilet. I'm 6'4" and 275, and it was great not having to crouch down to shower. The towels were thick and big enough that I only needed one, and there were plenty of washcloths, hand towels, and bath towels. Rooms are refreshed daily with clean linens and towels. The small fridge has separate freezer and cooler sections, unlike most mini fridges, and the microwave works well, though its controls took a moment to figure out. Fast food places, Dollar General across the two-lane road, and an IGA down the street past the curve are all easy to walk to. It felt like an oasis in a place with few other options.

We stopped in Hardin during a cross-country road trip and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was hesitant because it wasn't a chain, but the rooms were quiet, comfortable, and very clean, even if they weren't fancy. The bed was comfortable, and the thick, soft towels made me wonder which Marriott has towels like that. There's a microwave, fridge, and a decent coffee selection in the room. The desk staff were very nice, and breakfast was excellent, with real eggs, bacon, sausage, and even maple Long John’s. We walked a mile each way to dinner, which felt good after a day of driving. We'll stay again.
